More Mexican immigrants crossing border legally

Posted on May 15th, 2012 No Comments

Although fewer Mexicans are coming to American and more are leaving, those who choose to cross the border are doing so legally. About 50 percent of Mexican immigrants enter the country legally, significantly more than the ten percent in 2000.

Most Mexican immigrants come on family reunification visas, which allows immigrants with family or spouses with permanent residence or U.S. citizenship to enter. Nearly 90,000 came last year on H-visas, or employment-based visas.

More Mexicans than ever before are coming on EB-5 visas, which requires a $500,000 to $1 million investment in a U.S. company and the creation of at least ten U.S. jobs.

If you are trying to get your family to U.S. through family preference immigrant visas, contact the immigration attorneys from the Law Office of William Jang, PLLC, today at 512-323-2333.
