Many urge Legislature to not pass new bill

Posted on January 19th, 2011 No Comments

Many, including the coalition of business leaders, the Catholic Church, the ACLU, and law enforcement officials, are protesting an anti-illegal immigration bill that is being considered in the 82nd Legislative session.

Some people against the bill have said that passing this bill would be unconstitutional and a bad idea for the state of Texas. Other immigration-related bills have already been formed for the next session.

As of now, even many Texas lawmakers are uncertain about what will happen to the bills because some representatives think that the bills are so important that they are worth money to defend in court.
