Cities concerned with immigration reform travel to Austin to protest

Posted on January 7th, 2011 No Comments

The Texas Legislature is set to convene next week in Austin and residents of other Texas cities, such as Corpus Christi are making their way to Austin to protest the immigration reform.

Members of three civil rights groups are traveling to Austin in what they call the “Caravan for Social Justice” so that they can protest an immigration reform that would be similar to the one in Arizona. The caravan will  begin in the valley and end in Austin on January 11, just in time for the first day of the session.
