Border security triggers immigration talk

Posted on June 30th, 2010 No Comments

A dispute on how tight border security should be has stirred an immigration debate in Washington D.C.

The Republican party is fighting for stricter borer control and they do not want to vote on an immigration law until the issue is changed. The Obama administration is saying that violence and illegal crossing at the border are both down in border cities.

A compromise is being sought that will toughen the security at the border as well as allowing migrants to follow the legal steps to work in the U.S.
